SMS Opt-In Consent — Evidence of Collection Methods
Treasure Chest collects SMS consent only through the methods documented on this page. All consent checkboxes are unchecked by default, and consent is never a condition of purchase.

We operate two separate programs. Transactional & account messages cover orders, pickup, delivery scheduling, repair status and payment reminders for our own rent-to-own and layaway customers. Marketing messages are a separate, optional opt-in covering offers and new-arrival alerts. One never implies the other, and neither is a condition of purchase.
Consent wording version 2026-08-31. Every consent is stored with its timestamp, the collecting form, and the exact wording shown at the time.
1. Online — website checkout, rent-to-own application and customer portal
Customers opt in on our website at treasurechesttn.com. Both boxes are unchecked by default and are presented separately, so a customer may take the transactional program, the marketing program, both, or neither, and complete their purchase either way. A customer who has signed in to their account on our customer portal may also opt in from their dashboard, where the mobile number already on their account is shown in full above the box; the box is unchecked by default, and the portal never lets a customer change that number.
- Website checkout — treasurechesttn.com/checkout — customer information steptransactional
- Website checkout (optional marketing opt-in) — treasurechesttn.com/checkout — a separate, second checkboxmarketing
- Online rent-to-own application — treasurechesttn.com/checkout — rent-to-own application steptransactional
- Website contact form — treasurechesttn.com/contact — shown only once a phone number is enteredtransactional
- Customer portal — after signing in — treasurechesttn.com/portal — the account dashboard, after the customer signs in with a one-time code. The mobile number already on their account is shown in full above the box, which is unchecked by defaulttransactional

The online rent-to-own application presents the transactional checkbox quoted above, unchecked, on the same step that collects the applicant's mobile number. It is the same checkbox component and the same wording used on every other screen documented here. That screen is shown in section 3, where the identical in-store application is pictured.

2. In-store self-service kiosk
A customer-operated kiosk on our sales floor. The customer completes it themselves; no member of staff completes it for them. The kiosk sign-up is the customer information sheet: it shows the same printed disclosure as our paper forms with a box for the customer to type their initials — a blank box means they declined — and the completed sheet is filed to their customer record automatically. The separate rewards box on the same screen is a marketing opt-in and is worded as one.

3. In-store, staff-assisted
At the register, the repair desk and for an in-store rent-to-own application, a member of staff enters the customer's details. Staff record an SMS consent only when the customer has been shown the printed disclosure below and has initialed it, or has asked for text updates directly. The wording on that printed disclosure is the same wording used online.

4. Printed paper forms
The disclosure printed onto our rent-to-own and repair paperwork, and handed across the counter as a slip. It carries two separate initial lines — one for account messages and a second, optional line for marketing — so a customer may take either programme, both, or neither on one piece of paper. A blank initial line means the customer declined that programme. This is the exact text on the paper.
- Printed paper forms — Rent-to-own and repair paperwork signed in the store, and the customer information sheet — initialed on paper, then recorded by an employeetransactional
- Printed paper forms (optional marketing line) — The SECOND initial line on the same slip, added 2026-08-31 — left blank the customer receives no marketing messages and their account messages are unaffectedmarketing

Marketing opt-in initials: ________ (leave blank to decline)
Left blank, the customer receives no marketing messages and their account messages are unaffected.
Confirmation messages
The two programmes are confirmed separately, because a customer may hold one without the other. A customer who opts in to account messages receives the first message below. The marketing programme is not yet in service; the second message is the wording that will confirm it, published here so it can be reviewed alongside the opt-in wording it belongs to.
Account messages — confirmation sent on opt-in
Treasure Chest: You're signed up for order, delivery, service & account texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
Marketing — confirmation wording, not yet in service
Treasure Chest: You're signed up for deals & new-arrival texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
Opting out
Customers may reply STOP to any message to opt out, and will receive one final message confirming they have been unsubscribed. A STOP sent to either of our numbers ends both programs (account texts and marketing) in our records; a customer who wants to leave only one program may tell us in store or by phone. Replying HELP returns help information and our phone number, (931) 474-9473. Opting out never affects a customer's ability to buy, finance, take delivery, or have an appliance repaired.
Replying START after a STOP restores only the consent this number gave before, under the wording it was given to. A number that never opted in is sent instructions and is not enrolled. Each restoration is recorded as its own consent event:
- Text reply START after a STOP — The customer texts START (or UNSTOP / YES) to one of our numbers. Only a consent this number gave before is restored, under the wording it was given to; a number that never opted in receives instructions and is not enrolledtransactional
- Text reply START after a STOP (marketing, if previously opted in) — As above — the marketing opt-in is restored only if it existed before the STOPmarketing
